Things to do after a successful sale

 

Good customer service is the lifeblood of any business. It is essential to the continuing success of your business. In today’s competitive marketplace, if you don’t provide good service you won’t attract and retain customers. By providing superior customer service, your business can grow! If you truly want to retain customer, all you have to do is ensure that you complete the following things:

 

Follow details in notification email

After a successful sale on OfferMe, you will receive notification email from OfferMe containing the information given below:

  • Transaction ID
  • Item Title
  • Quantity
  • Total Price
  • Transaction Fee
  • Buyer's Email Address
  • Buyer's Postal Address

 

Contact Buyer

However buyer will receive email from OfferMe regarding purchase and that email will contain details of transaction. Apart from this, you can also send email to buyer where you can let buyer know few things. This is not compulsory but it gives reminder to buyer to send payment and increase your customer loyalty. You can include the following information in your email to buyers.

  • How should buyer make payment?
  • When you will send an item?
  • How long will delivery take?

 

Receive payment

Check that whether you receive payment ot not, allow at least 5 days to buyer to send payment. Good communication are always important, email buyer and remind him or her to send payment. It may be buyer's first experience of online shopping, be polite, patient and understanding to buyer. If you have already received payment, confirm payment and delivery details with the buyer as soon as possible, either by sending an invoice or by email. Always verify payment before you ship an item.

 

Ship your item:

  1. Pack your item so that it wont rattle or break, depending on what you are shipping, for example if you sold a fragile item you would need bubble wrap.
  2. If you have PayPal, after you make the sale log in to your PayPal account and go to account history you will see the payment you received from the buyer a few columns to the right it will say "Print Shipping Label" - when you click that, it will bring you to a screen where you confirm the address, the weight dimensions and the service you would like to ship with and then they prompt you to print the label.
  3. Tape the shipping label to the box covering the whole label with tape.
  4. Take it to a trading post or a post office.
  5. Send the tracking label to your customer.

 

Leave feedback

Customer feedback is an important part of the OfferMe transaction process. Once you leave feedback to buyer, it will remind buyer to leave feedback for you also. If any member has a history of poor service or slow payment, then his or her feedback will most likely reflect his or her reputation on OfferMe and it will act as a warning for other memebers to do future transaction with that particular person.
