How to sell
5 Simple Steps to Selling1. Register & set up your Seller AccountIn order to sell on OfferMe you need to register and set up a Seller Account. It's easy and FREE! ![]() A. Register Simply click on the Register button at the top of any page Once you've completed the form, a confirmation email from OfferMe will be sent to the address you nominated during the registration process. Simply follow the instructions to complete your registration. Learn more about Registration. ![]() B. Set up your Seller Account Once you have registered, sign in to 'My Account' and click on the 'Want to Sell?' link. To ensure safe trading on OfferMe, sellers are required to provide us with their business's landline and mobile phone numbers. You will also be required to enter a valid credit card number. Your credit card details are securely stored with Westpac Bank. No charge will be made to your account until you make a sale.
2. Find out what buyers are looking forSearch by keywords or browse categories to find out what buyers are looking for. Learn more about finding an item. ![]() A. Found an item you want to sell? You can find out the current requested quantity for this item. Click on 'Want to Sell' to send offers to buyers wanting this item. If you want to keep an eye on a product you can go to the item and click on 'Add to My Favourite Items.' You can view your favourite items in 'My OfferMe.'![]() B. None of the products you sell are listed? Add it! Click on 'Add an Item' to list it. Buyers will then see your item. Every time a buyer wants to buy your product you will be notified by a request in your My OfferMe to confirm postage for the buyers location before the offer can be sent out. Make sure your offer includes a description, adding as much detail as possible. By adding an item it does not mean you have automatically sent offers to buyers wanting this item. There are two ways to confirm the postage for an offer: 1. Automatic postage confirmation: When creating an offer you can set up postage rate tables. These tables are created by you, and can be segmented by product weight and areas of delivery. This allows you to then simply select the appropriate table for future offers. By selecting a table you have created, postage will be automatically confirmed. 2. Manual postage confirmation: You may decide that you want to manually confirm postage per buyer's request.
Note: If you have not yet confirmed postage for an offer the buyer cannot go ahead with the purchase until you do so.
4. Answer buyers' questions![]() Provide fast and accurate answers to questions buyers may have. 5. Item sold? Completing the transaction![]() After you have sold the item, contact the buyer with your payment instructions. Once you have received payment from the buyer, post the item as soon as you can. If you are pleased with your sale, leave the buyer Feedback and encourage them to do the same for you. Now you've learned the basics of selling you're ready to start boosting your sales.
