No Fees when you make or receive Offers

Sellers can make as many offers as they want to potential buyers for free on OfferMe.


Fee structure

Transaction Fee (only payable after your item sells)

The transaction fee for the items is calculated per item sold.

There is no other fees except transaction fees. The only fee Sellers will pay is a small transaction fee after every sale. There will be no fee if the item does not sell.

Up to $50.00 4.4% of the total price (minimum $0.50 charge)
$50.01 to $400.00 $2.20 + 3.3% of sale price over $50.00
$400.01 to $1,000.00 $13.75 + 2.2% of sale price over $400.00
Over $1,000.00 $26.95 + 1.1% of sale price over $1,000.00

All fees are inclusive of GST and in Australian dollars. (Last updated: 09 Sep 2008)

Please note that OfferMe reserves the right to change the fee structure anytime. However, the change will be announced via the OfferMe announcement board.


Fees Refund Policy

You can request a refund if you have a credit balance on your account of $10.00 or more, or if you want to close your seller account with OfferMe. To see your account balance, go to 'My Account' page in 'My OfferMe'. A credit balance appears as a negative number on your account status and monthly invoices. Please note that OfferMe credits cannot be encashed.

Before submitting your request

  • If you are trying to obtain a credit on your account for selling fees, please review Transaction Fee credit requirements.
  • Verify that your address and contact information is current. To update your information, please click here.

Method of refund

Your refund will be made using the payment method you currently have on file.

  • For credit and debit card refunds, the details on file should be the same that was last used to pay the account. If you'd like to update your payment details on file so it matches the last payment you made, please click here.

Please allow 30 days for refunds to be processed and posted to your OfferMe account.

Transaction Fees refundable are outlined below.

  • Buyer did not respond after you attempted to contact them (please allow at least seven days for them to respond).
  • Buyer "backed out" and didn't buy the item.
  • Buyer's cheque bounced or they placed a stop payment on it.
  • Buyer returned the item and you issued a refund.
  • Buyer could not buy the item due to family or financial emergency.
  • Buyer claimed the terms were unacceptable.

Here's how to request a Transaction Fee credit:
  1. Wait at least seven (7) business days for a buyer to respond to your attempts to contact them.
  2. Complete the Unpaid Items within 45 days of the date of transaction. OfferMe is unable to process credit requests received more than 45 days after the date of transaction.
  3. Try to work with the buyer for at least 10 days to resolve the issue.
  4. Once the 10 days have passed, fill out the Transaction Fee Credit Request Form (this must be done within 45 days of the date of transaction).
  • If we have any questions about your Transaction Fee credit request we will contact you.
  • Please be sure your credit claim is accurate and valid. Sellers who file false claims will be suspended.
  • Information provided in your credit request will be used to identify Non-Paying Buyers, that is, buyers who commit to buy but don't follow through with the sale.
